Stop Motion Films are a unique brand of films because they don’t awe you like regular movies do. You don’t walk away from them like you walk away from Avatar and think that the effects were amazing. You walk away from a stop motion film and cannot believe how much time went into making this. You are impressed at the sheer patience and diligence. For that reason, stop motion films will always deserved to be showcased and looked to for inspiration.

Onslaught of the LipDub

Most of the world has seen the now-famous I Gotta Feeling LipDub by l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). If you haven’t seen it, you’re the only one. Now as a followup to this video, there have been a ton of new ones done by other schools. Some rock. Some suck. Here’s my favourites:

Shorewood High School’s version of You Make My Dreams Come True gets reps because its filmed backwards!

HEC in Montreal was good, and I liked that they used Mamma Mia

Essec à Cergy wins for best prop and costume, plus the cameraman seems to have to run to keep up. Let’s Get It Started

And finally Team Ibeatyou just because of celebrity status. 9 in the afternoon.

If you havn’t heard of this movie and you’re an action fan you should be ashamed. This is the movie people have wanted for years.

Take 7 of the world’s most known action stars :

Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger

Add a couple of other major stars:
Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture and Brittany Murphy

…and probably a brutal plot…and you’ll have one of the most Kick Ass movies of the year!
