In this article, wildlife photographer Jonathan Grifiths spent some time this past winter photographing the animals that generally are best viewed from a safe distance.

I would love to learn more about his technique, as it looks like a lot of these shots were taken just meters away from the actual animal. Apparently Jonathan has only been photographing animals for about 2 years, but after being limited to the zoo for too long, he headed to the rocky mountains.

Great set of images – however I had no idea there were lions in the rockies.
