I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of iphones. But I am a huge fan of getting a good night’s sleep. And so are the Swedes apparently. They not only offer the world stylish and well-priced bedroom sets however, now some of their kind have even developed an iphone app that ushers you into the waking world feeling as spry as a dancing queen. It’s called Sleep Cycle, and they say when you run it and place your iphone on your mattress at night, it monitors your movements throughout the night to deduce when you will be in your lightest sleep phase, and then it wakes you up during a 30 minute window that ends at your set alarm time. Apparently you move differently during each sleep phase you’re in. News to me. But if this thing works, it could be pretty freaking awesome, not to mention brilliant. I hate sleeping for like 9 hours but then waking up feeling like death pooed on me. That’s the worst.
Thank god for Scandinavia.
