Long Live Radio

I get bored with radio easily. I like variety, so I often go through seasons where I don’t listen to the radio in the car because it just seems to be the same thing… over and over.

I have however found a cure to my radio drudgery. Internet radio rocks. One day listen to reggae, the next day Iranian music. How about a little European Jazz music mixed with techno. No problem my friend, it’s all out there, you just have to find it.

Itunes has a pretty good collection of radio stations. My only beef with Itunes is that I haven’t figured out how to search for stations through the Itunes interface. If there’s a way to do this that I don’t know about, drop me a comment.

The other little gem I’ve found is Soma Radio. They have some off the wall radio stations that have sated even my very eclectic desire for music that’s different.

Here are a couple of my fav stations from them:
Groove Salad
Secret Agent (yep, weird but true. truly one of my guilty pleasures, so go find your Fedora and your Walther PPK silencer)

Long live unusual music!
