Lists Make the World Go Round

I love lists.  I don’t necessarily like making them, but I love being able to benefit from someone else’s hard work.  So when I find things like 50 Beautiful and Creative Blog Designs or 9 Ways to Make Your Writing More Compelling I get excited because it means someone did what would take me hours to compile and I can skim it in twenty seconds for any useful information and then discard it.  Sure this way seem shallow and really robbing the process of everything that I am supposed to learn through it’s journey, but it just feels so good.  I feel like I’m taking in hours of information and data in a fraction of the time.  The lists don’t even have to be relevant to me whatsoever, but I skim them anyway.

Some of my favourite sites that I’ve been loving recently that compile amazing lists are Smashing Magazine and Tripwire Magazine.  Maybe one day I’ll take the time to compile a list of something.
